Meet Lauren Bobrow Field

Lauren Field is a learning and reading specialist in Fairfield County with more than two decades of teaching experience. She has both her special education and elementary certifications.

In 1996, she graduated from The State University of New York at Buffalo with a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in early childhood development. Lauren went on to earn her master’s degree in learning disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia University, in 1998.

Lauren began her career at PS 6 in New York City as a learning specialist, fourth grade classroom teacher, special education teacher and the manager of a collaborative team-teaching program in kindergarten. While working at PS 6, Lauren also served as an adjunct lecturer at Hunter College in its learning disabilities program. After moving to Connecticut, Lauren worked at The Waterside School in Stamford, and Greenwich Academy, in Greenwich, as a learning and reading specialist.  

She currently lives in Fairfield, CT with her husband Steve and two children, Aaron and Lucy. In her free time, she loves to exercise, and teach yoga and mindfulness to kids. Lauren also enjoys live music, traveling, and spending time with her children and their family dog.
